What style of taper and ferrule do you reccomend for use on a Meucci Black Dot Bullseye Shaft that holds a tip of 10.42mm and is of length 31 inches? I only ask because they sent it to me with a classic plastic ferrule and Professional Taper. I read somewhere just now that a European Taper is supposed to be used for tip size 12mm or less and I have been getting a bad feel and sound everytime I hit a slow ball. I am using it for English 8 Ball that is played on a 6 x 3 surface and with a 1 7/8 inch Cueball. I just need the opinion of another cuemaker as I feel that this is a bad job and unfit for the purpose intended.
